RESTARTING
A letter from Wednesday ( names deleted)
"We all fall back, spiritually-speaking, from time to time. It's important to acknowledge where we messed up, but it's equally important to continue onwards. Too many of us get down on ourselves and give up all together.
The great [teacher ]said when he fell from the spiritual level he had attained, he did not feel depressed. He would just begin anew, as if he had never before stepped foot on the spiritual path. Sometimes he would have to begin anew several times in one day.
He also said that through depression and sadness a man can forget who and what he really is because his true essence is wrapped by so many layers of sadness. Therefore it is necessary to fight to be in a state of joy - no matter how low you have gone.
Restart your spiritual practice as if today were your first day. Forget about where you should be, or what you shouldn't be doing. Just smile, be happy and know that your joy is a restart button on the game of your life."
Today i have doubts- but i know this is illusion.
Today i feel sad but it means i am not connected to the source of Unlimited ____ (fill out the blank)
But i know how to go back.
And todays QAR: "what person would you like to become" made me think about all my "not enough" areas.
While working on our self esteem- something we should never stop - we definitely have to work to improve all areas of our life- but if we are not that successful from time to time in one or two of them - so what?
Each time we break a relationship, lose a job or gain few more pounds, we are losing confidence.
I know it could be very difficult but that should not be the case.
If you love yourself allow yourself to fail. From time to time.
I think i am enough.
In iceland- people talk more about their failure, they brag about it , drinking Viking Gylltur. They are not ashamed- and why should we be? it is a part of life.
